Immediate and large scale aid needed at Sindupalchowk District, Nepal

The Sindupalchowk district has recorded the highest deaths and has the second highest per capita death rate at more than five deaths per thousand residents.

So far 1,587 deaths have been reported here, but eye witness reports claim the actual number is much higher.

Some limited relief supplies have reached Sindupalchowk district in the last day, but a lot more is needed.

The district is 2,500 square kilometers (980 sq. miles) big, and nearly 300,000 people live here.
