I'm a Senior Developer Advocate at ecobee, where I work on grid resiliency programs across North America. Over a million smart thermostats are enrolled in the programs I help design. The goal is to keep the lights on during heat waves and winter storms.
I've been building air quality tools since 2015. Smokey delivered 740,000 air quality reports across 19 countries. The Emoji Air Pollution Map got featured by NASA. This year I launched Pradooshan.com for Indian cities, OMGwildfires.com for wildfire smoke, and BreathingKills.com to show what PM2.5 actually does to a human life. I'm also a board member of OpenAQ, which aggregates over 2 billion data points from 134 countries.
In the past year, we've seen rapid advancement of model intelligence and convergence on agent scaffolding. But there's still a gap: agents often lack the domain expertise and specialized knowledge needed for real-world work.
